Spring Clean Your Mind, Body, and (Dreaded) Closet
AAAHH SPRING...WARM TEMPERATURES, LONGER DAYS, TULIPS IN BLOOM, FLOWERING TREES, ALL THINGS FRESH AND WONDERFUL...As mother nature is busy reawakening and renewing, it's a perfect time for us to turn inward and do the same by refreshing and restoring our mind, body, and surroundings.
Here are 3 things you can try today to start this spring on a high (but grounded!) note:
1. MEDITATION
Take just 15 minutes out of your day and treat yourself to Sara Raymond's soothing voice in this guided meditation, "The Promise of Spring's Renewal: Nature's Lessons Series". We can learn so much from the natural world and she beautifully uses spring's reawakening and renewal as a metaphor for our own personal growth and restoration.
2. BODY
What could be better for our bodies than seasonal fresh fruits and veggies? Elizabeth Rider tells us how to enjoy these nutritious foods in her list of favorites, "Top 10 Healthy Spring Foods & How to Use Them". This list is so useful because she not only explains why they are good for us but also gives us simple no-fuss ways to prepare and enjoy them. Check out her beautifully illustrated website for healthy recipes and other ways to live an all-natural lifestyle.
3. CLOSET
Imagine walking into your perfectly organized closet every morning! It's not an easy task to achieve such bliss, but we can get closer to accomplishing a sense of calm when trying to pick out an outfit with help from Elbow Room's practical tips "How To Easily Organize Everything In Your Closet (For Cheap)". The pictures are particularly helpful in visualizing what our closet can look like when everything is easy to reach and access quickly. We love the hanging jewelry display suggestion!
"In springtime, love is carried on the breeze. Watch out for flying passion and kisses whizzing by your head."
